The Public Information Office reports the details of a Fire that occurred on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 5:55 pm in Seaford.

According to police, officers responded to a Willoughby Avenue residence for a house fire. The Wantagh Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the flames.  A female resident, 69, sustained burns to her hand and was transported to a local area hospital.

The fire caused extensive damage to the home and The Red Cross responded to offer assistance to the displaced residents. The Nassau County Fire Marshal and the Arson Bomb Squad were also at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
