The Sixth Squad reports the arrest of a Levittown man for the Attempted Burglary that occurred on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 1:49 pm in Roslyn Estates.
According to Detectives, Defendant Steven Morra, 40, of 7 Balsam Lane, Levittown did attempt to enter an occupied residence on The Intervale. The female victim, 15, heard a loud bang and noticed the back door was damaged along with a patio chair and flower pot moved up against it. The victim observed the subject walking around the backyard so she fled the residence and ran to a neighbor’s home where Police were notified. At 5:20 pm, Defendant Morra was located in an adjacent yard on The Serpentine where Officers attempted to place the defendant under arrest. The defendant resisted arrest by flailing his arms and legs when being taken into custody. No injuries were reported.
Defendant Steven Morra is charged with Attempted Burglary 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, Criminal Trespassing 3rd Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree, and Resisting Arrest. He will be arraigned on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at First District Court, 99 Main Street Hempstead.
