The Nassau County Police Department is investigating an Unusual Incident that occurred in Lawrence on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 5:47 PM.

According to Detectives, a call was received through the 911 Communication System for a threat against the members of the JCC of the Greater Five Towns located at 140 Central Avenue. The Nassau County Police Department responded utilizing various resources and all relevant units. A thorough and systematic search of the entire location was conducted. After an extensive investigation there was no evidence of any credible threats found and the building was deemed safe. The investigation is on-going.
