The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of an Amityville woman for multiple Burglaries on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 2:55 pm in Massapequa.
According to detectives, the Burglary Pattern Team conducted an investigation into multiple burglaries within Nassau County which led to the arrest of Sonia Villegas, 34 of 66 Overland Avenue.
On May 27, 2016 Villegas entered a home on New York Avenue, Massapequa Park and removed assorted jewelry.
On June 1, 2016 she entered a home on Jasper Street, North Valley Stream through a bathroom window and fled when confronted by homeowner.
On June 1, 2016 she entered a home on Gates Avenue, Valley Stream and removed assorted jewelry and cash.
On June 1, 2016 she entered a home on Debra Court, North Merrick and removed assorted jewelry.
On April 7, 2016 she entered a home on Birchwood Drive, Westbury and removed assorted jewelry.
On June 1, 2016 at 2:55 p.m. detectives located Villegas and arrested her without incident as she exited Cash for Gold Pawn Shop located at 5596 Merrick Road, Massapequa.
Villegas is charged with (5) five counts of Burglary 2nd degree. She will be arraigned on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
