The Public Information Office reports the arrest of a male for Making Terroristic Threats on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 in Old Westbury.

According to Detectives, a male student, 18, at Westbury High School located at 1 Post Road, expressed his desire to conduct a violent act towards students and faculty members. The faculty staff became aware of the threat and the school administration immediately notified Old Westbury Police Department.

A thorough investigation was conducted and Oketa Orlando Blair Jr., of 223 Hopper Street, Westbury was arrested without incident.

Defendant Blair Jr. is charged with Making a Terroristic Threat and Aggravated Harassment 2^nd Degree. An Extreme Risk Protection Order was granted by a judge which prevents the defendant from purchasing any firearms. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at First District Court, Hempstead.
