The First Squad reports the arrest of a woman at 1:28am on Sunday, June 26, 2022 in Uniondale.
According to Detectives, the male complainant contacted the Police for assistance with his adult daughter who refused to exit her male friend’s vehicle. Upon arrival, Officers observed the Defendant Loren Elliot, 23, of Uniondale sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle. After the defendant failed to respond to the Officers lawful orders for her to exit the vehicle, they attempted to remove the seatbelt. At that time, the defendant became aggressive and violent toward the Officers causing them to deploy the Electronic Control Device (Taser); the defendant became more enraged and aggressive. An Officer sustained injuries during the course of the removal as the defendant was violent and combative while resisting. The defendant was taken into custody and transported to the Nassau University Medical Center for evaluation. The Officer was transported to a local area hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Defendant Loren Elliot is charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree. She will be arraigned as soon as medically practical.
