The Major Case Bureau reports on the Arrest of two adults from North Woodmere for a Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 7:10PM in North Merrick.
According to Robbery Squad Detectives, defendants Jerald Gadsden, 31 and Heleena Velazquez-Krupp, 28, both of 923 Hewlett Drive, North Woodmere entered a BP gas station located at 1185 Merrick Avenue. Defendant Jerald Gadsden approached a 62-year-old male employee and displayed a pistol demanding money. The victim, in fear of his life, complied and opened the store register and gave defendant Gadsden an unknown amount of US Currency. The two subjects fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival. After conducting an investigation, the two defendants were located on Hewlett Drive in North Woodmere operating a 2011 Honda Pilot and placed under arrest without further incident.
Further investigation revealed that defendant Jerald Gadsen was also responsible for the robbery of a BP gas station located at 85 North Central Avenue in Valley Stream that occurred on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 9:05 PM.
Defendant Jerald Gadsden is charged with two counts of Robbery 1st degree, Robbery 2nd degree and two counts of Criminal Use of a Firearm 2nd degree. Defendant Heleena Velazquez-Krupp is charged with Robbery 1st degree, Robbery 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. They will be arraigned on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
