The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 9:07 pm in Island Park.   

According to detectives, a male pedestrian, 30, was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound on Long Beach Road, north of Marina Place. The vehicle fled the scene.  

The male victim suffered severe trauma and was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased by a staff physician.  

The investigation is ongoing.
