The Sixth Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for Burglary that occurred on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at 1:24 am.
According to detectives, Sixth Precinct police responded to the Plaza Eatery Deli located at 28 North Station Plaza. Upon arrival, police observed that the side window had been opened. After an investigation it was determined that an unknown Asian male subject had entered into the deli and removed multiple cigarette packs and an unknown amount of US currency had been removed from the cash register and display racks. A short time later Sixth Precinct officers were able to locate the subject walking through the parking lot at 38 Great Neck Road and ordered him to stop walking. The subject refused and fled on foot west on Great Neck Road. Assisting Officer’s were able to stop and place the defendant Jung Su Kim, 57 of 41-12 58th Street Flushing into police custody after a brief struggle in the vicinity of Brompton Road.
A subsequent investigation revealed that Jung Su Kim is also responsible for two additional Burglaries that occurred on April 2, 2022 in Great Neck and April 27, 2022 in Great Neck Plaza.
Defendant Jung Su Kim is charged with 3 counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, Possession of Burglar’s tools, and Resisting arrest. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Sunday, July 31, 2022.
Jung Su Kim was previously arrested on September 16, 2021 and charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and released on September 17, 2021 with no cash bail.
