The Arson Bomb Squad reports the details of a Fire that occurred at 5:35pm on Monday, August 15, 2022 in Elmont.

According to Detectives, Officers responded to 30 Meacham Avenue for a commercial building fire.  Officers deemed the building to be vacant and unoccupied at the time of the fire.  The Elmont Fire Department assisted by multiple local Fire Departments extinguished the fire without incident or injury.   Arson Bomb Detectives, Chief Santina, Fire Marshall Lt. Kelleher, Fire Marshall Bradley and Town of Hempstead Building Department Official Trotta were all on scene.  The building was boarded up for safety.  

The fire is under investigation.
