The Fourth Squad reports the details of an incident that occurred on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 12:50 a.m. in Oceanside.
According to Detectives, Officers responded to Nassau Parkway for multiple reports of a man pulling on door handles of parked vehicles. Officers received a description of the man and began to canvass the area. Patrol Officers, along with assistance from the K-9 unit, located the defendant, Jean Ricardo Oriol, 34, of 297 Elmont Road in Elmont, who was hiding from Police in the rear yard of a residence on Fortesque Avenue. The defendant was arrested without further incident.
The defendant is charged with Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, two counts of Criminal Trespass in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, Petit Larceny, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th Degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 5th Degree and the defendant was found to have an active warrant out of New Jersey. He will be arraigned on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
