The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of two individuals for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 10:50 pm in Inwood.
According to Detectives, Officers observed a 2018 Nissan Rogue failing to maintain their lane while traveling eastbound on Burnside Avenue. Officers activated their emergency lights and initiated a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop. After a Police investigation was conducted a semi-automatic loaded firearm was recovered inside the vehicle. The driver, Defendant Cameron Rasheed, 21, of 19 Lincoln Road, Medford and Courtney Palmer, 18, of 1330 Intervale Avenue, Bronx were placed into police custody without further incident.
Both Defendants are being charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree. Defendant Rasheed was also issued a summon for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. They will be arraigned on Monday, October 17, 2022, at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
