The First Squad reports the arrest of a Uniondale man for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred in Uniondale on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 9:46 pm.
According to detectives, First Precinct Plain Clothes Police Officers observed the defendant Marlon Porter, 16, of 657 Nassau Road walking south with his younger brother while holding a heavy object hidden in his waistband. The officers were patrolling in their radio motor patrol car when they approached the defendant on Northern Parkway and observed the defendant remove a black handgun from his waistband and drop it in the front yard of a Northern Parkway residence. The officer’s after displaying their police shields and announcing they were Nassau County Police Officers were able to place the defendant Marlon Porter into police custody without incident. There were no injuries reported. The gun was recovered.
Marlon Porter is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree. He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Friday, May 01, 2015.
