The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of two individuals for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 12:52 am in Inwood.
According to Detectives, Fourth Precinct Officers observed a 2021 Toyota failing to maintain their lane while traveling eastbound on Burnside Avenue. Officers activated their emergency lights and initiated a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop at the intersection of Burnside Avenue and Wahl Avenue. After a Police investigation was conducted a Glock-19 semi-automatic loaded firearm was recovered from inside the vehicle. The Defendants, Catrina Taylor, 42, of 30 Hamilton Place, New York N.Y and Semaj Campbell, 32, of 5265 Dyke Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania were placed into police custody without further incident. The operator of the vehicle, a 32-year-old male was issued multiple Vehicle and Traffic Law summonses and released from the scene.
Both Defendants are being charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree. They will be arraigned on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
