The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Serious Vehicular Accident that occurred at 4:54pm on Sunday, November 6, 2022, in Bethpage.
According to Detectives, a male driver, 61, was operating a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek in the northbound lane of Stewart Avenue at Hempstead Turnpike when his vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and struck head on a 2009 Kia Sorrento stopped in traffic at the traffic light.  The male driver suffered head trauma and was transported to a local area hospital for treatment of his injuries.  The female victim driver, 49, of the Kia, suffered minor injuries and was also transported to a local area hospital for treatment of her injuries. The 2021 Subaru was impounded for safety checks.
