The Third Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 7:25 pm in Williston Park.According to detectives, a 50-year-old female was exiting her parked 2020 white Ford Escape SUV on Stratford Avenue when an unknown male subject approached and pointed a black handgun at her demanding she exit the car. The subject then left with her vehicle and traveled north on Stratford Avenue. There were no injuries reported. The investigation is ongoing.The subject is described as being male, black, mid 20’s years of age, and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.Detectives request that anyone with information regarding the above crime to contact the Nassau County Police Crime Stoppers at 1 – 800 – 244 -TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
***UPDATE***Defendant Amir Simmons, 20, of 1502 Mott Avenue, Far Rockaway was arrested for the above listed incident. He is charged with Robbery 1st degree. Defendant Amir Simmons is also charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd degree and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle 3rd degree for another incident that occurred on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 11:40 AM. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
