Second Squad Detectives report the arrest of a male for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 10:05 pm in Woodbury.
According to detectives, officers from the Criminal Intelligence Rapid Response Team (CIRRT) observed a male parked in a red Chevrolet Tahoe in the parking lot of the Best Western located at 7940 Jericho Turnpike.  As officers approached the vehicle, they observed the male drinking from a blue can of beer.  During the investigation officers recovered a loaded handgun.  Eric Headley, 28, of 7940 Jericho Turnpike, was arrested without incident.
Defendant Headley is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Firearm.  He will be arraigned on Friday, January 20, 2023, at First District Court, Hempstead.
