This is being considered a terrorist attack on International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
The County Executive has been briefed on the incident, and while there is no nexus or specific threats to Nassau County, we continue to work with our federal, state, and local partners as we continue to gather intelligence.
The Police Department continues to intensify its patrols around Synagogues, mass gatherings and all areas of concern.
Residents are reminded to call 911 immediately if they see or hear anything suspicious.
