The Homicide Squad is investigating a Fatal Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 10:30 PM in Hempstead.
According to Detectives, while attempting to cross in the vicinity of 455 Front Street, a male pedestrian was struck by a 2004 Chevy Impala traveling eastbound on Front Street. The unknown male, approximately 30 years-of-age, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced at scene.
The male operator, 56, remained at scene. The vehicle was impounded for a brake and safety check.
The investigation is ongoing.
