The Fifth Squad reports on the arrest of two individuals for a Grand Larceny that occurred on Friday, March 31, 2023, at 2:25 AM in Hempstead.
According to Detectives, a female victim residing at her residence located on Lucille Avenue, Elmont observed that her parked 2018 Nissan Rogue was missing and called Nassau County Police. Officers put out a notification for the stolen vehicle and a short time later Hempstead Police Officers observed the vehicle near the intersection of Fulton Avenue and Terrace Avenue; and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop. The vehicle was occupied by the driver, defendant Michael Daddario, 34, of 525 Beech Street, New Hyde Park and passenger, defendant Anna Montoya, 46, homeless. Both defendants were placed under arrest without incident. An investigation resulted in a switchblade being found in the possession of defendant Michael Daddario and what is believed to be a crack pipe from defendant Anna Montoya.
Defendant Michael Daddario is charged with Grand Larceny 4th degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree.
Defendant Anna Montoya is charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree, Criminal Possession of a Stolen Property 4th degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, Bail Jumping 2nd degree and False Personation.
Both will be arraigned on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at First District Court, located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
