The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Lakeview man for a Grand Larceny that occurred on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 12:00 am in Lakeview.
According to Fraud and Forgery Detectives, the female victim, 78, received mail from the Office of the Nassau County Clerk. The letter advised the victim that her documents to transfer ownership on her current residence was received. The victim responded to the clerk’s office where the transfer of ownership was filed. She observed a forged signature of hers on the paperwork with her neighbor’s personal information.
A thorough investigation was conducted and Aurelia Soogea, 35, of Lakeview was arrested without incident.
Defendant Soogea is charged with Grand Larceny 2nd Degree and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, April 7, 2023, at First District Court, Hempstead.
