The Eighth Squad reports a Burglary Arrest that occurred on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 2:40pm in Farmingdale.
According to Detectives, the female homeowner victim, 57, was alerted at approximately 1:30pm by an employee of her pet care agency that the rear door of her home was broken into and her two dogs and three cats were let out of their crates and subsequently one of the dogs had killed one of the cats. The victim reviewed the security video of her home located on Terrace View Road and observed an unknown male black enter the side yard but did not exit; she contacted the Police. Upon arrival Officers located Defendant Isaac Flores, 29, of 36 Emerald Lane S., Copiague, inside the home and placed him under arrest without incident. The home was ransacked, and the proceeds included a laptop valued at approximately $2500.00 US currency. The damage to the door is approximately $400.00 USC.
Subsequent to the investigation it was determined that at approximately 8:46am the same day, Defendant Isaac Flores was observed on security video at a second home on Terrace View Road using a pry bar on the front storm door and the rear storm door attempting to gain entry. The damage to both doors is valued at $300.00 US currency.
Defendant Isaac Flores is charged with Burglary 2nd Degree, two counts of Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, Attempted Burglary 2nd Degree, two counts of Possession of Burglars Tools, Grand Larceny 4th Degree and Agriculture and Markets Law Aggravated Cruelty to Animals. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
