Third Precinct Problem Oriented Police Officers report multiple Arrests within the confines of the Third Precinct on Monday, April 17, 2023.
Officers assigned to the POP Unit conducted a Project 21 investigation targeting the sale of nicotine and alcohol products sold to underage agents. The agents entered the following establishments where the store employees did not ask for the proper identification and sold alcohol/nicotine to the Police agents.
Smoke Shop located at 579 Willis Avenue, Williston Park - Abdulkarim Abdo Noaman Hauter, 23, of 243 W 116th Street, New York, sold two (2) nicotine products. He was issued two (2) Appearance Tickets returnable to First District Court, Hempstead, on May 3, 2023.
Mineola Cigar and Vapor located at 124 E Jericho Turnpike – Sachin NFN, 23, of 8 Tobias Street, Hicksville, sold a nicotine product and two (2) alcoholic beverages. He was issued four (4) Appearance Tickets returnable to First District Court, Hempstead, on May 3, 2023.
AAC Convenience Store located at 90-12 E Jericho Turnpike, Mineola – Alexis Guinanzaca, 24, of 168 Jefferson Avenue, Roslyn Heights, sold alcohol beverages. He was issued two (2) Appearance Tickets returnable to First District Court, Hempstead, on May 3, 2023.
During the investigation, officers observed three males operating two (2) illegal gambling machines. The machines were seized and the store’s manager Miriam Calderon Gonzalez, 34, of 27 N Station Plz., Great Neck, was issued two (2) Appearance Tickets returnable to First District Court, Hempstead, on May 3, 2023.
Jose Granados, 40, of 162 Second Street, Mineola, was operating a gambling machine. It was determined he had an open Nassau County Arrest Warrant for an Open Alcohol Container and was placed under arrest. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at First District Court, Hempstead.
