First Squad detectives report the details of an arrest for a robbery that occurred in Uniondale on Thursday, 05/14/15 at 4:59 A.M.
According to detectives, Jordan Jackson, 17, of 531 Linwood St., Uniondale, entered a 2006 Infiniti sedan, that was parked and running on Fullerton Ave., and attempted to drive away. A male victim, 32, who was asleep in the back seat, awoke and struggled with the defendant, in an attempt to gain control of the vehicle. The defendant recklessly drove south on Fullerton Ave. and struck an unoccupied parked 2007 BMW, and then onto a front lawn crashing into a chain link fence. The victim was able to able to hold the defendant at scene until police arrival.
The victim suffered substantial shoulder pain but refused medical attention at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Jackson is being charged with two counts of Robbery 2nd Degree, Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree, two counts of Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, and Reckless Endangerment 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, 05/15/15 in First District Court, Hempstead.
