The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Brooklyn man for a Robbery that occurred on Friday, April 3, 2015 in Roslyn.
According to Robbery Squad detectives, two male blacks entered the T-Mobile store located at 1073 Northern Boulevard, produced handguns and ordered the two employees to a rear office of the store. The subjects then removed an undetermined amount of U.S. currency and merchandise. Subjects fled the scene on foot and subject Shamel Youmans, 20, of 171 Gates Avenue, Brooklyn was apprehended by Third Precinct officers after a foot pursuit.
The second subject is described as a male black, 6’ with a stocky build.
During the incident there were 2 employees and no customers present. No injuries were reported.
Youmans is charged with Robbery 1st degree, Criminal Use of a Firearm 1st degree, (2) two counts of Robbery 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree. He will be arraigned on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at First District Court in Hempstead.
