The First Squad reports the arrests of two male juveniles for an incident that occurred on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 9:59 PM in Roosevelt.
According to detectives, officers observed two suspects wearing masks, spray painting a building in the vicinity of Mirin Avenue and Park Avenue. Officers approached the suspects who then fled on foot. Both suspects were apprehended nearby and they both resisted arrest, causing one officer to sustain injuries. Both suspects, a 16 year old male and a 17 year old male, were then taken into custody without any further incident. The injured officer was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The 16 year old male was also found to be in possession of a knife and a fraudulent identification.
The 16 year old defendant is charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 3rd Degree, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree, Possession of Graffiti Instruments and Title 90 Mask Transparency Act. He will be arraigned on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Family Court.
The 17 year old defendant is charged with Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree, Possession of Graffiti Instruments and Title 90 Mask Transparency Act. He was released on an Appearance Ticket returnable to Family Court.
