The Homicide Squad is investigating a Fatal Aided that occurred on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 6:30 am in East Meadow.
According to detectives, Third Precinct Police and a Nassau County Police Medic responded to the Nassau County Correctional Center located at 100 Carmen Avenue for a male not breathing. Upon arrival, a 42-year-old male was observed in his cell unresponsive and not breathing. The Nassau Police Medic pronounced the victim deceased. The victim was removed to the Nassau County Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation. The investigation is ongoing along with the New York State Attorney Generals Office.
