The Fifth Squad reports on the arrest of a Queens man for a Burglary that occurred on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 6:55 AM in Elmont.
According to Detectives, two female victims, ages 29 and 70, were at their residence located on Waldorf Avenue when they discovered an unknown male was inside who had entered through a window. The male began a verbal altercation demanding money before attacking the females with a knife. During the physical altercation, both females sustained lacerations before a 29-yearold male resident was able to disarm the subject. The subject then fled the scene but was soon after located and placed under arrest by responding officers without further incident. Both females sustained lacerations and were transported by a Nassau County Police Ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment and are currently in stable condition. Defendant Franklyn Ramos, 62 of 111250 203rd Street was also transported by a Nassau County Police Ambulance to a nearby hospital for assessment and treatment.
Defendant Franklyn Ramos is charged with two counts of Burglary 1st degree, Assault 2nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree and Possession of Burglars Tools. He will be arraigned on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
