The Electronics Squad Fraud and Forgery Section report the arrest of a Deer Park man on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 3:55 pm for a Grand Larceny that occurred in Roslyn Heights.
According to detectives, a joint investigation between the Nassau County Police Department and the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office revealed that between December of 2022 and December of 2024, Defendant Rami A. Mohamad, 40, of 118 Albany Street, gained access to Chabad of Roslyn’s business account and initiated 201 unauthorized transactions causing a loss of $123,989.37. Defendant Mohamed had been hired in September 2022 by Chabad of Roslyn, 75 Powerhouse Road, to perform minor carpentry repairs.
Defendant Rami A. Mohamad is charged with Grand Larceny 2nd Degree and will be arraigned on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
