The First Squad reports the arrest of a Shirley man for an incident that occurred on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 5:55 pm in Baldwin.
According to Detectives, two motorists became engaged in a road rage incident in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway and Milburn Avenue. A male subject in a Toyota Pickup had a verbal argument with a male victim, 18. The argument escalated and the subject intentionally collided with the rear of the victim’s sedan. Both vehicles pulled over and the subject became irate, striking the victim’s vehicle with a closed fist multiple times before fleeing the scene. A short time later, Police located Defendant Alfredo Ushpa Ortiz, 30, of 12 Hounslow Road and placed him into custody without incident.
Subsequent to the investigation, it was determined that the defendant has an outstanding Warrant of Removal pending with US Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Defendant Alfredo Ushpa Ortiz is charged with Two (2) counts of Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. He was released on an Appearance Ticket and taken into custody by Immigration Customs Enforcement Agents (ICE).
