Third Squad Detectives report the arrests of two (2) Louisiana men for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 8:05 pm in Westbury.
According to detectives, officers assigned to the Strategic Response Team (SRT) observed a black 2009 Ford Edge traveling eastbound on Zeckendorf Blvd., when the operator failed to signal a lane change in the vicinity of Corporate Drive. Officers activated their emergency lights and conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop.
During the investigation, a loaded handgun was recovered. Andrew Robinson, 38, of 3204 Virginia Street, Monroe and Donyea Walker, 30, of 4601 Lincoln Park, Monroe were arrested.
Defendants Robinson (operator) and Walker are charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree. They will be arraigned on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at First District Court, Hempstead.
