The Major Case Bureau, the Lynbrook Police Department and the Hempstead Police Department reports the details of two (2) arrests for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance that occurred on Monday, May 23, 2016 in Lynbrook.
According to Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives, and in conjunction with the Lynbrook and Hempstead Police Departments, an investigation led to the arrest of defendant Kenneth Houston, 28, of 110 Jerusalem Avenue, Hempstead who did possess and agreed to sell a quantity of heroin. After observing the illegal transaction, Lynbrook Police Officers conducted a Vehicle Traffic Stop of a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu in front of 490 Sunrise Highway. The driver, defendant Shequilla Wagner, 27, of 40 Redington Street, Bay Shore and passenger defendant Houston were placed under arrest at 9:30 pm without further incident. The couples’ seven year old daughter was found unharmed in the rear seat of the vehicle and released to a family member. At the time of the arrest, defendant Houston was found in possession of thirty (30) glassine envelopes containing a substance believed to be heroin, seven (7) 10 mg of oxycodone tablets, a quantity of MDMA and a plastic bag containing a leafy substance believed to be marijuana.
Defendant Houston is being charged with 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and 3 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree. Defendant Wagner is being charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Dealing with a Child. They will be arraigned on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at First District Court, Hempstead.
