The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Roslyn man for Menacing which occurred on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Roslyn.
According to detectives, Officers from the Nassau County Sherriff’s Department responded to a house on Tatterson Street to serve court related documents. As they approached the door they saw a man inside pointing what appeared to be a rifle at them. Officers retreated and notified Nassau County Police who responded, set up a perimeter and shut down specific area roads for public safety. After approximately eight hours the suspect surrendered. He is identified as Steven Liebman, 50, of 17 Tatterson Street, Roslyn. No injuries were reported.
Liebman is charged with Menacing 2nd degree and Obstructing Government Administration 2nd degree. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
