Third Squad detectives report the arrest of a Queens woman for possession of a forged instrument that occurred in East Garden City on Monday, 07/04/15 at 10:55 A.M.
According to detectives, Yan Qin Wang, 23, of 41-07 159th St., Flushing, while at Bloomingdales located at 630 Old Country Rd., attempted to purchase $1,125 worth of merchandise, using a Bloomindale’s credit card statement and a fraudulent N.Y.S. Driver License. The defendant was also found to be in possession of an American Express cash card and a Flushing Bank Debit MasterCard, both of which were fraudulent. Third Precinct police officers responded to the scene after being notified by the Loss Prevention office and placed the defendant under arrest.
Wang is being charged with eight counts of Criminal Possession Forged Instrument, five counts of Possession Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, Defraud 1st Degree, Money Laundering 4th Degree, Identity Theft 2nd Degree and Grand Larceny 4th Degree (Attempt). She will be arraigned on Tuesday, July 05, 2016 in First District Court, Hempstead.
