The Second Squad reports the arrest of two New York City men for Trademark Counterfeiting on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in Westbury.
According to detectives, Second Precinct patrol officers responded to The Westbury Flea Market, located at 960 Brush Hollow Road for counterfeit goods being sold. An investigation revealed Mohamed Hassan, 25, of 101-34 98th Street and Vladimir Shamalov, 35, of 167-16 73rd Avenue were selling counterfeit goods including designer bags, wallets , fragrance, shirts, belts and watches. They were placed under arrest at the scene without incident.
Hassan is charged with five counts of Trademark Counterfeiting 2nd degree and two counts of Trademark Counterfeiting 3rd degree. Shamalov is charged with four counts of Trademark Counterfeiting 2nd degree and one count of Trademark Counterfeiting 1st degree. They will be arraigned on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
