Third Squad detectives report the arrest of a Queens man for Trademark Counterfeiting which occurred in Westbury on Thursday, 06/16/16 at 9:50 A.M.
According to detectives, Nassau County Sheriffs were executing a Landlord Tenant Warrant of Eviction at 75B Rushmore St., a commercial warehouse. Upon entry they observed hundreds of boxes of assorted clothing and numerous industrial type embroidery machines. There were also numerous boxes of brand name labels that were staged to be attached to clothing.
On Friday, 06/17/16, a search of the warehouse was performed by a counterfeit apparel expert, the Third Squad and the District Attorney Office Economic Crimes. It was estimated that there is an excess of one million dollars in counterfeit goods.
Third Squad detectives arrested the leasee of the warehouse, Guosheng Hu, 42, of 210th St./50th Ave., Bayside, on Thursday, 06/16/16 at 1:35 P.M. at the warehouse. He is being charged with Counterfeiting 2nd Degree and was arraigned on Friday, 06/17/16 in First District Court, Hempstead.
