First Squad detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred in Roosevelt on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at 4:56 A.M.
According to detectives, a male victim, working as a Taxi driver for New York Taxi, Roosevelt, was picking up a fare in front of 43 Lee St., when he was approached by two male subjects armed with a handgun. The subjects ordered the victim to exit the vehicle and then went through his pockets and removed cash, a wallet, and a cell phone. Both subjects then fled on foot eastbound on Lee Street. Police officers recovered the victim’s cell phone and wallet in the area.
No injuries were reported.
The subjects are described as two male blacks in their late teens to early twenties, both wearing dark colored hooded jackets. No further description is available.
