The Major Case Bureau reports the arrests of two individuals for Possession of a Forged Instrument that occurred on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 3:45 P.M. in Lynbrook.
According to Crimes Against Property detectives, on Wednesday, July 27, 2106 Mamadou Ndiaye, 21, of 956 Lafayette Ave, Brooklyn and Ajani Jones, 18, of 42 St. Felix Street, Brooklyn while at Shake a Paw located at 1 Atlantic Avenue did attempt to make a purchase with fraudulent credit cards. When the subjects returned on Thursday, July 28, 2016 the victim contacted the Lynbrook police and officers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop and placed the subjects under arrest without incident on Merrick Road at Earle Avenue. At the time of the arrest, police officers found Ndiaye to be in possession of a forged credit card and forged Florida driver’s license, Jones was found in possession of five forged credit cards and checks.
Ndiaye is being charged with two (2) counts of Possession Forged Instrument 2nd degree and Grand Larceny 3rd degree. Jones is being charges with six (6) counts of Possession Forged Instrument 2nd degree and Grand Larceny 3rd degree. Both defendants will be arraigned on Friday, July 29, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
