The Major Case Bureau reports the details of two arrests for criminal possession of forged instruments that occurred in E. Garden City on Monday, 08/15/16 at 6:05 P.M.
According to detectives, Cedric Metullus, 20, of 1506 E. 49th St., Brooklyn, and Alan Ado Germain, 21, of 137-44 224th St., Laurelton, while in Bloomindales department store located at 630 Old Country Rd., attempted to return $3000 worth of merchandise using a fraudulent Connecticut Driver’s License. A store employee notified police and the defendants left the scene in their auto. Third Precinct police officers located the defendants in vehicle in the area and performed a traffic stop. The defendants were found to be in possession of fraudulent re-encoded credit cards in addition to the fraudulent driver license.
Metullus and Germain are each being charged with two counts of Possession Forged Instrument 2nd Degree. Metullus, who was driving with a suspended license, was additionally charged with Aggravated Unlicensed 2nd Degree along with several VTL infractions. Both defendants will be arraigned on Tuesday, 08/16/16 in First District Court Hempstead.
