The Garden City Police Department reports the arrest of four Franklin Square teens for Arson on September 9, 2016.
According to detectives, on September 3, 2016 at 10:50 p.m. Qasim Fnu, 17, of 304 Kalb Avenue, Spencer Farrell, of 178 Franklin Avenue, Apt. 2, and Anthony Delgado, 17, of 45 Ribbon Street were at the Garden City Country Club located at 206 Stewart Avenue where they removed fire extinguishers and sprayed them in the air, damaged a tennis net and light fixtures.
On September 8, 2016 Qasim Fnu, Spencer Farrell, and a male juvenile were at the Country Club where they started an electrical fire in an irrigation box which caused significant damage to the wires and surrounding area. The total damage between the two incidents is in excess of $10,000.
On September 9, 2016 the four defendants were arrested without incident. Fnu and Farrell are charged with Criminal Mischief 2nd degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd degree, Arson 5th degree and Criminal Trespass. Delgado is charged with Criminal Mischief 3rd degree. They will be arraigned on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead. The juvenile is charged with Criminal Mischief 2nd degree, Arson 5th degree and Criminal Trespass. He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in court on Tuesday, September 27, 2016.
