The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Hicksville man for Grand Larceny that occurred on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 7:00 am.
According to Crimes Against Property detectives, Vladimir Reyes, 31, of 12 Flower Street made false statements to the New York State Insurance Fund relating to an injury that occurred on February 11, 2015 while employed at Canco’s Tile located in Farmingdale. With the assistance of the New York State Insurance Fund and the Nassau County District Attorney’s Government and Consumer Frauds Bureau an investigation revealed that between August 2015 and May 2016 Reyes was employed at another business and was paid over $11,000 in worker’s compensation that he was not entitled to receive. Reyes was located at his residence and placed under arrest without incident.
Reyes is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd degree, Insurance Fraud 3rd degree, Offering False Instrument and Penalty for Fraud Practices. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
