The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Brooklyn man on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 9:50 a.m. for Grand Larceny which occurred throughout Nassau County.
According to Crimes Against Property Squad detectives, beginning February 1, 2016 thru March 2016, Shawn A. Thompson 32 of 479 E. 34th Street entered multiple Stop and Shop stores throughout Nassau County and purchased gift cards using fraudulent credit cards and debit cards. These transactions were captured on video surveillance and led store security to contact the police. The company suffered a loss in excess of $20,000.00. Thompson surrendered to detectives on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 9:50 a.m. in Westbury.
Thompson is charged with Grand Larceny 3rd degree. He will be arraigned on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
