The Major Case Bureau reports an arrest for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument at 10:30pm on Thursday, October 13, 2016 in Westbury.
According to Crimes Against Property Squad Detectives, Police Officers on patrol observed a black colored Audi travelling at a high rate of speed westbound on Corporate Drive. Officers conducted a Vehicle and Traffic Law stop of the vehicle and two occupants. The investigation revealed that the driver, defendant John K. Munoz, 25, of 1457 Peters Boulevard Bayshore, NY had an open warrant in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania. The search incident to arrest revealed the defendant to be in possession of a fraudulent Massachusetts identification card, multiple fraudulent credit/gift cards and an embossing machine. Defendant John K. Munoz is charged with six counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, Fugitive from Justice and six traffic violations. The defendant will be arraigned on Thursday, October 14, 2016 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
