The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Hempstead man for Robbery that occurred on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 4:55 P.M. in Mineola.
According to detectives, defendant Phillip Robinson, 52, of 261 S. Franklin Street entered the Dunkin Donuts located at 120 Old Country Road armed with a black handgun and demanded money. The male victim, 20, complied and the defendant fled scene in a gold vehicle. Upon police arrival a notification was broadcast and the defendant was located driving southbound on S. Franklin Avenue in Hempstead by First Precinct officers. The defendant was placed under arrest without incident. No injuries were reported.
Robinson is charged with Robbery 1st degree, Criminal Use of a Firearm 1st degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree. He will be arraigned on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.

Robinson is charged with 2 additional Robberies that occurred on Friday, March 4, 2016 at U Haul 450 West Fulton Avenue, Hempstead and U Haul, 20A Sheridan Boulevard, Inwood. He is charged with 2 counts of Robbery 1st Degree, 2 counts of Criminal Use of a Firearm 1st Degree, and 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon. He was arraigned on Tuesday, September 06, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
