The Second Squad reports the arrest of a Syosset man on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 6:10pm in Syosset.
According to Detectives, an internal investigation by Northwell Health of 15 Burke Lane Syosset revealed defendant Christopher Moffitt-Gabis, 25, of 15 Humphrey Drive, Syosset had entered the vehicle of the 44 year old male victim and removed his employee ID badge from his vehicle that was in the parking lot of Northwell Health. He then used the ID to enter the building and gain access to an unauthorized room and remove a laptop computer without the authority to do so. Further Police investigation after arrest revealed that defendant Christopher Moffitt-Gabis was also responsible for two additional larcenies from two separate autos both located on Jericho Turnpike, Syosset on September 28, 2016 and October 7, 2016.
Defendant Christopher Moffitt-Gabis is charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, Grand Larceny 4th Degree and two counts of Petit Larceny. He will be arraigned on Saturday, October 22, 2016 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
