Fourth Squad detectives report the details of an arrest for grand larceny and multiple petit larcenies that occurred in Oceanside and Garden City beginning Monday, 09/26/16 through Wednesday 10/26/16.
According to detectives, Rohan Esberry, 39, of 19001 Nashville 1, Springfield Gardens, entered Bath and Body Works on Wednesday 10/26/16, at 10:45 A.M., located at 3559 Long Beach Rd. in Oceanside, removed items from the shelf valued at $126, concealed them in a bag and left the store without paying. Security officers stopped him outside the store and notified police. Subsequent investigation revealed that Esberry committed three additional larcenies from Bath and Body Works in the same Oceanside store on Monday 09/26/16, Friday 10/21/16 and Tuesday 10/25/16, and at the E Garden City store on Monday, 09/26/16, causing the stores a total loss in the amount of $3,175. A female subject, who acted in concert with the defendant in one of the larcenies, has not yet been arrested.
Esberry is being charged with two counts of Grand Larceny 4th Degree, three counts of Petit Larceny and will be arraigned on Thursday, 10/27/16 in First District Court, Hempstead.
