The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of three individuals at 9:05pm on Wednesday, October 26, 2016.
According to Narcotic/Vice Detectives, an open investigation into the sale of heroin in Hempstead led Detectives to the arrest of defendant Jose G. Espinosa, 36, of 153 Main Street #2 Hempstead; Angel L. Aponte, 42, of 10 Locust Court Freeport and Michael Colorio, 35 of 115 Bowling Lane Deer Park. Defendant Espinosa had been admitted into the hospital for undisclosed medical issues and while recovering conducted drug sales to individuals visiting him from his hospital room. Defendant Aponte was working in conjunction with Defendant Espinosa by supplying the drugs to the defendant. Both Defendants were found to be in possession of heroin, cocaine and PRBM. Defendant Colorio was found to be in possession of heroin.
Defendant Espinosa was charged with four counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and three counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance. Defendant Aponte was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and one count of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance. Defendant Colorio was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. The defendants were arraigned on Thursday, October 27, 2016 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
