The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of an individual for Grand Larceny on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 1:25 a.m. in East Meadow.
According to Crimes Against Property detectives, Tyshawn I. Roberts, 28, no known address, was stopped while driving a 2016 Nissan on Merrick Avenue by Bureau of Special Operations officers for a vehicle and traffic law violation. During their investigation the officers discovered that Roberts was involved in multiple cases of check fraud throughout Nassau County. He along with codefendant Teirra McDavis, 27 of 112 E. Fulton Street, Long Beach had deposited fraudulent checks into numerous accounts of TD Bank and Bethpage Federal Credit Union and then withdrew the fund from the accounts. At the time of his arrest Roberts was in possession of (10) ten forged credit cards, one forged check and oxycodone pills. McDavis was placed under arrest on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 5:05 a.m. at the First Precinct in Baldwin.
Roberts is charged with (4) four counts of Grand larceny 3rd degree, (11) eleven counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree.
Mcdavis is charged with (2) two counts of Grand Larceny 3rd degree.
Both defendants will be arraigned on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
