The Major Case Bureau is investigating a Bank Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 9:19 A.M. in Franklin Square.
According to Robbery Squad detectives, a male white subject entered the Capital One Bank, located at 550 Franklin Avenue, approached the teller and presented a demand note threatening the use of a firearm, but no firearm seen. The 46 year old female victim complied and the subject exited out the rear door then fled westbound Gavrin Boulevard on foot with an undetermined amount of US currency. There were three (3) employees and two (2) customers inside the bank at the time of the robbery. There were no reported injuries.
The subject is described as a male white, 50-60 years of age, 5’10” tall, medium build, wearing a blue Giants baseball cap, black jacket, jeans and silver rimmed glasses.
