The Major Case Bureau reports the details of a Bank Robbery which occurred on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. in Hempstead.
According to Robbery Squad detectives, a male black suspect, 25 to 35 years of age, 6’ 3” to 6’ 5” tall with a thin build, wearing a black jacket and blue jeans entered the Chase Bank located at 136 Fulton Avenue. He approached a teller and passed a demand note threatening the use of a firearm and demanding money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction. No firearm was displayed. There were 7 employees and 2 customers in the bank at the time of the robbery.
